Portraits and Portraits

For years and years I have been making many deadpan portraits, "au naturel" in black and white. I like creating these images of people where they are brought back to their essence, not having clothing, make-up or the environment to play a significant role. However, that I like these pictures does not mean that I shouldn't explore other styles, e.g. in a more editorial or glamorous style. Over the last couple of weeks I have been experimenting beyond my traditional boundaries. Although the results are very gratifying, I notice that I still have to learn a lot. All of a sudden I have to care about color, hair, make-up and environment. To learn to be versatile in making good portraits continuous to be a very interesting journey.
