Austinmer's Tidal Pool

The village of Austinmer on the Grand Pacific Drive (Illawarra, North of Sydney) has a historic pacific tidal swimming pool (1917). Since the ocean's tide refreshes the water twice a day, the costs associated with managing water quality are virtually non-existent. It is hard to imagine a more sustainable model for having a pool. That is probably the reason that this pool continues to be used, even after 94 years of service.
